Someone once bought me a spanish leather theatrical mask. I photographed it in black & white, exposed it onto photographic print paper through a translucent circuit board and got a great image out of it.
A little bit of photoshopping gave it the color. I've been wanting to do a simulated process print for ages and this image was the perfect candidate. It kinda has a techno gothic feel to it.

A great alternative t-shirt label called 'Rednek' did this print first. They used an image of a fully decked out riot cop and put the caption below. The print was center chest on white shirts.
I've done a version of it using an image adapted from an old Soviet Union political poster, put the caption on top and positioned it at the bottom of the shirt.

I first printed this design in 1988. The image is from a 1959 Stravinsky Japanese tour poster, I believe the illustration of Stravinsky in the poster was done by Picasso but don't hold me to that.
I can't remember where I found this poster image except that as soon as I saw it I knew it belonged on a t-shirt.
